Measured Building surveys can be carried out as an independent survey or in conjunction with a topographical survey and will commonly include the below. All measured building surveys are carried out with the latest survey technology.
Floor plans are a detailed bird’s eye view of the entire building, floor by floor or just the area that you require. Detail includes wall, door and window positions including swing, overhead detail such as beams, roof lights and ceiling slopes. Detail also includes radiators and fixed furnishings including sanitary fittings. All drawings are annotated to include floor types, heights, and floor levels.
If required, the floor plans can be simple and just detail wall, door and window positions.
Roof plans are a detailed bird’s eye view of the roof detailing the building outline, parapet walls, roof slope directions, chimneys including pots, vent pipes and any roof lights, plus any other major architectural details. All drawings will be annotated to show roof slopes and building materials.
A typical cross section shows a cut through view of the building showing all major architectural features including walls, doors and window detail, ceilings, roof slopes, overhead detail, ground and floor level. All drawings are annotated and will include floor levels.
External elevations show the façade of the building. Detail includes wall, door and window details, roof details including slopes, ridge, eaves, gutters, parapet walls, roof lights and chimney details.
Elevation drawings will also show all downpipes, vents, lights, and any other major architectural details. All drawings will be annotated to include building materials.
Depending on your own individual project, you may or may not need the full details shown on the drawings. Please advise how much detail you require when enquiring so this can be reflected in your quote.
